Saugerties Wellness Center is the first facility in Ulster County to practice integrated medical care. "Integrated medical care" blends modern western medical practice with traditional healing methods (such as acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, yoga and herbal therapy) to promote wellness. The medical director of the center is Ravi Ramaswami,M.D., assisted by Family Nurse Practitioner Marie de la Parte,M.S.N. Both have been providing medical care to residents of all ages in the Saugerties Community for many years. Dr.Ramaswami is board certified in Family Practice as well as in Geriatrics and is also certified in Medical Acupuncture by the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture. Family Nurse Practitioner, Alan Glickman, M.S.N. is also on staff providing both in office care and Home visits. The alternative provider who works in the center includes acupuncturist Charles LaBarre,L.Ac.

We accept patients with a variety of problems including fibromyalgia, lyme disease, chronic fatigue, PMS, menopause and other female disorders, chronic pain, side effects of chemotherapy and radiation, fatigue, diabetes, heart disease, eating disorders, spinal stenosis, nicotine addiction, immune and auto-immune disorders and many other illnesses for a comprehensive and integrated approach to medical care. We also see patients for wellness screening and physical exams as well as sick visits.
